Promaster Rear Door Bug Screen Details

It can offer full insect protection while improving airflow and insulation. The breathable mesh ensures ventilation and visibility, while the durable lower section adds insulation. The bottom stability strip keeps the screen secure in wind, and the center split allows easy access without removing the screen. Off-season storage is simple and convenient.

Different from our sliding door bug screens, this rear door bug net includes an extra privacy feature: a privacy curtain is integrated into the upper part, so you can pull it down for privacy.
The breathable mesh is tightly woven at 0.035 inch × 0.031 inch (0.9mm x 0.8mm), effectively keeping out most insects.

Features

  • Custom Coverage: Built specifically for high-roof RAM ProMaster vans, this screen covers the entire rear opening tightly and efficiently.

  • Functional Layered Fabric: Upper mesh allows steady ventilation, while the quilted lower section enhances insulation and resists wear.

  • Flexible Opening Options: Large central zipper and dual-side zippers provide multiple access points and allow one-side roll-up.

  • Privacy with Optional Curtain: Fine mesh blocks bugs and maintains visibility; the integrated privacy flap adds optional coverage when needed.

  • Split-Panel Center Entry: Quickly access the interior via the center split—ideal for loading or stepping in.

  • Secure Windproof Edge: The weighted base keeps the screen steady even in gusty weather.

  • Seasonal Storage: Built-in straps make it quick and easy to pack away the screen—perfect for switching between seasons.

Note: After installation, you may notice some excess fabric around the edges. For a cleaner look, you can trim the excess with scissors. However, we don’t recommend cutting off too much as it may make future reinstallation more difficult. The product images showcase the screen before trimming.

For the rear bug screen on our High-Top Winnebago Solis 2022 59P First of all, customer service for Vanncamp is top notch. A request to support@vanncamp.com was taken care of expediently, and questions were fully and clearly answered. We are very pleased with the screen.... now that the installation is complete. The fit is almost perfect; it could be 3 inches longer, allowing for easier installation and less cursing. Using all of the screen with no overlap top-to-bottom, there is an inch gap at the bottom. The zippers are heavy duty and function well. The good quality black screen is more fine than our previous screen that allowed the smallest insects in (no-see-ums in Canada). The cost of this product is much less than other screens I looked at. My fear was it would show in the quality. Not the case! This was a great choice and we recommend it to our fellow Solsters. As far as installation goes: It took two of us, 2 and 1/2 hours to install. I highly recommend you do not do this with your spouse right before getting in the van for a long (silent) trip. There were little-to-no instructions that came with the screen, but with some searching you can find installation info that will help on Google. I would suggest to Vanncamp to link YouTube (or like) instructions specific to the product ordered and van of installation. It could be included with the package. I'm not sure if we put it on backwards? But it will remain that way though we cannot unzip the upper screen cover without getting out of the van and doing it from the rear of the van with the doors open. There were sufficient clips, we had everything we needed to install, and the clamps saved our marriage. Thank you for a well-priced, high-quality product that will give us years of good use.
