Ladder itself is fantastic. Love the square blocky look and how easy it is to climb once installed correctly.
Connecting the bottom plate could use a bit of updating the n my opinion. The self tapping screws did not work for me, and I ended up using 1/4” stainless screws/washers/nylon nuts with drilled holes to connect the plate to the pinch weld and a 1/4 rivnut to connect the bracket to the underside. It’s super rock solid in the end.
I should have taken some pictures on the plate instal I did…
I recently installed the Sprinter Roof Rack for 144″ Wheelbase | High Roof along with the Sprinter Side Ladder, and I couldn’t be happier with both products. The installation was surprisingly easy, and the overall quality feels excellent. Since this is my first roof rack, I can’t directly compare it to others, but it definitely doesn’t feel inferior in any way — it feels solid, well-built, and premium.
Shipping was incredibly fast — I received the order just two days after purchase, and the packaging was very secure and professional. One thing I noticed is that the front fairing of the roof rack looks slightly different from what I saw in the YouTube installation video, but honestly, I think it’s an upgraded version and looks even better!
Last but not least, I really want to thank the Vanncamp support team for their outstanding service. Every question I asked before ordering was answered quickly and clearly. That level of customer support made the whole experience even better.
The best quality ladder for my 2016 sprinter 2500 170Wb . It’s fit perfect on my roof rail. Lightweight and easy to install. Recommended this ladder for the price. You don’t need to $2k ladder for the van. Love it!!
