The breathable mesh is tightly woven at 0.035 inch × 0.031 inch (0.9mm x 0.8mm), effectively keeping out most insects.

This is a pretty good bug screen and with a great price, a couple of things to note: there are no instructions to let you know which side faces in or out. I ended up with the bumpers along the base facing into the van. Best method to attach is to line up the top right zipper with the top corner of the opening “(to the front of the van side)” and check your height to the step. Then you can ensure you have enough space on the left “(back of the van side)”. Also, please note that the bumper is wider than the lower step and will hit the closing door. You can very easily cut open the bottom stitching and cut the bumper foam to the correct length; this will greatly improve the door shut. The two different clip sizes are essential and make fitting so much easier. All in all a great bug screen for the price, but it could do with a bit more instruction as to how to fit. Also, this was fitted to a mid-height roof van but the doors are the same size for both Mid and High roof Transits.
